WHEW!!! Close Call!!!!

About one hour into our Toastmasters dinner cruise we had a close call. One of the local blue whales that inhabit the lake surfaced and nearly capsized the riverboat we were in. The near- collision caused a misalignment of the paddle wheel on the riverboat and messed up the rudder. The boat sailed around in circles for about thirty minutes until help arrived. By this time over half of the beer and liquor was gone and no one noticed that the boat was going around in circles. In fact I heard an old ToastMaster say "Sure smooth and straight sailing don't you (hic) think so?" His buddy, who had a piece of cake in each hand and holding his beer between his knees, responded with "Yep, yep, let's (hic) give the captain a tip for keeping such a straight course."
